About the CFC
The Concordia Food Coalition (CFC) is a non-profit organization and a fee-levy group operating at Concordia University. The CFC brings together students, faculty, staff and community members to co-create campus-community food sovereignty. We collaborate to educate, innovate and incubate vibrant, sustainable, accessible and democratic local food systems. We aim to democratize the campus food system by moving away from corporate models while organizing towards student-led change.

Scope of this Internship
The Concordia Farmers’ Market (CFM) provides campus-goers and the surrounding community with a selection of local and organic foods, artisanal crafts, soaps and more. The Farmer’s Market Intern is responsible for organizing and monitoring our weekly markets and related events. The CFM intern will work closely with and learn from our partners. They will build valuable relationships with farmers and vendors who specialize in local food production and sustainable/regenerative practices. The CFM Intern will be responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations, setting and tracking sustainability benchmarks tracking metrics related to waste production, sales, and attendance.
